I know that it hasn't been quite a year since I've updated this blog but sometimes I wonder why I even keep it around. If you haven't heard, I have a new blog. Things in the Frame household are busy. The kids only have 5 weeks of school left before summer break. This seems unreal to me. The school year went by way too fast!! Kelsy will be a 9th grader and Aden will be a 5th grader! When did I get so old!?!?
Kelsy turned 14 in March and so far, so good. I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday and her response was "go to the mall!" Kelsy, Aden and I loaded up and went to the Provo mall. Kelsy was able to buy some clothes but she also learned what sticker shock is. She had a budget that she had to stick with and found it very difficult. I am very proud of her though because she resisted temptation and moved on from the expensive clothes. We were able to find her an entire outfit for less than what she was going to pay for one pair of shorts. Kelsy has started to do a lot more babysitting and is enjoying it. In less than a year, she will have her driver's permit.
Aden also had a birthday in March. He turned 10. He is now in Webelos and enjoys it. Aden had a friend birthday party this year. We planned several Minute-to-Win-It games but we never even made it that far. We invited eight 10 year olds. The party quickly grew to 15 kids (14 boys and 1 girl) having a Nerf gun war. It was a blast and I'm grateful that the weather held out long enough so I didn't have to have the kids in my house!! Aden loves being outside. He gets home from school, throws his backpack in the house and is right back outside. We are lucky if we even see him before dinnertime.
Doug is now working a couple of days a week. Even with the early, early mornings, we are grateful for the employment. Hopefully it will grow to a full-time job soon.
Summer is coming quickly and we will be very busy. July is already booked and I hope nothing more gets added! We're hoping to start our garden soon so we can enjoy the fruits of our labors!!

Big News in the Frame Household
....No, I am not pregnant. lol. We just wanted everyone to know that Doug was recently hired by Northrop Grumman to do security for the new CIA Data Center that is being built at Camp Williams. We are both SO excited for this new adventure. We are just waiting for his security clearance to come through and then he can start working. We know that prayers have been said on our behalf and we appreciate it SO much!! We are feeling extremely blessed right now.

Summer 2010
This summer has FLOWN by!! I can't believe that my kids will be going back to school in just over 4 weeks!! It is amazing how much fun summer can be once your kids get a little bit older.
June: June started off with the passing of Aden's kindergarten friend, Tiffany. We were able to attend her wonderful funeral. It was amazing to see all of the people who have rallied behind this family. Both kids started a summer reading program at the American Fork Library. After the first day, they were sure they would hate it but have really enjoyed it. Both of them have really taken to reading this year. Kelsy went and spent a week at her aunt's house in Price and Aden spent a few days at Day Camp for Cub Scouts. Both kids had a blast. At the end of June, we were also able to see Kristi and Craig for just a couple of hours before their move to Arizona. They passed down a beautiful old piano to Doug that belonged to Kristi's mom. We have loved having it in our home.
July: Busy, busy, busy month!! The month started off with a very short visit from my Mom and Dad. They came down for a family wedding and to take the grandkids to spend a week in Washington with all their other cousins. The week was a HUGE success!! My Mom & Dad started this tradition 3 years ago. The first year was very, very rough. Two of the seven kids were ready to go home by the first night. Each year it has gotten better and better. This year the kids were actually sad to be going home!! My parents packed their week with swimming in the lake and pool, playing, baking and helicopter rides. After the week was over, Matt, Sara and I met my parents in Boise for the weekend to exchange kids. The kids are still talking about their week in Washington. After being home a week from Washington, we sent the kids off to Cousin's Camp in Spanish Fork. My wonderful sister-in-laws and brother-in-law take all their neices and nephews 5 years old and up for 3 days during the summer. My sister-in-law always has fun, fun activities for the kids and keeps them busy ALL day long. By the end of camp, they are all exhausted and sleep very well.
August: So far August is looking to be a lot slower than June and July. Kelsy leaves next week to go to Girl's Camp. Kelsy hasn't been home longer than a 1 1/2 weeks this summer. I think that she'll be ready for school to start on August 25th so that she can get back to a normal routine!
We have loved this summer and are very blessed to have people that loves us and our kids.

Bi-Weekly Menu
I have had several people ask me what my weekly menu looks like so I decided to post it. I usually go from pay day to pay day (2 weeks at a time) so that I have enough food in the house. Tuesdays are my leftover days because we have church activities that night.

Aden gave me my Mother's Day gift today. He was too impatient to wait until Sunday. He made me a little wreath made out of his handprints and his picture in the middle. I wanted to share the card that came along with it. (Spelling has not been changed)

Where Did The Time Go?!?!
Since I have shown a consistent pattern of only posting once every several months, I figured now would be as good of a time as any. A LOT has gone on with our family so I'll try to update on everything. I'm sorry that I don't have pictures on this post. I haven't unpacked my camera :)
ADEN: Aden played his first year of basketball this year. He was a lot of fun to watch but had to be constantly reminded to dribble the ball when running down the court. I wish that I would have taped some of his games. It possibly could have won me $10,000. Aden also turned 9 on March 16th!! I cannot believe how time how flown by. Aden is such a great kid. He was a desire to help (sometimes too much), does not know a stranger (bought a baby outfit for the school janitors new baby), and loves to get dirty. Aden can make friends with a flag pole if he wanted to. I love that kid!!
KELSY: Kelsy is loving the 7th grade. She has become a social butterfly and has really grown up this year. She struggles a little in school but works so hard. She has started to take piano lessons from her grandma and has done very well with it. Kelsy also had a birthday in March. She turned 13 on March 28th. I love this girl more than she will ever know! She has a heart of gold and tries to do what she knows is right. I don't know if I am ready for her to start driving in the next few years but hopefully I have enough time to prepare :)
DOUG and BECKIE: Doug and I have mostly just been busy shuttling kids around and making sure they are taken care of. We have both been working and trying to juggle our schedules. We were just called to serve in the Nursery again in our new ward and could not be happier!! We LOVE to work in the Nursery!
We were able to have my parents come to town at the end of March. My Mom had been sick before they came down but felt that she was on the mend so they went ahead and made the journey down here. By the time they got here, both my Mom and Dad were very sick. We took them to the InstaCare on the Sunday afternoon that they were here. Mom had bronchitis and pneumonia. Dad had bronchitis and a sinus infection. Their trip was extended by a day so that they could heal a little. Even though they were sick while they were here, we were happy that they could come. We wish we could see them more often.
The next several weeks will also keep us busy. Next weekend, the four of us are flying to Austin, Texas so that Kelsy can see her birth mom and her family. It has been 5 years since she has seen her mom and 12 years since she has seen the rest of the family. This will be a good opportunity for Kelsy to see where she was born and to see where she came from. I'll hopefully post pictures of the trip once we get back. The kids also only have 3 weeks of school left before summertime. The school year went WAY too fast this year. This summer they will be busy with Girls' Camp (Kelsy, not Aden), the Frame Family Cousin Camp, and Cousin's Week at Granny Janny and Papa Butch's. They are very excited for all that is planned.

Tiffany's Wish
Come Celebrate Tiffany Searle’s

Come cheer Tiffany on as she races across the finish line to fulfill her wish to run in a race. After the race
there will be a medals ceremony and an after party for all those attending.

Please arrive on time as we will be starting the race close to the hour mark. Also, signs of support are encouraged so get those markers out!!!
**Tiffany's story (the short version): About 5 year ago, Tiffany began having problems keeping up with kids in her class. Tiffany's parents took her to the Dr. where dozens of tests were run on her to try to find out what was wrong. They tested her for Muscular Dystrophy, Polio, West Nile Virus, Lou Gehrig's Disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, MS and other nerve disorders. Everything came back negative. Over the last couple of years, Tiffany's condition has worsened and has turned her into a rag doll. Her family is still waiting to try to find a diagnosis to save her. Tiffany is now fighting for her life. She has only been given 2-6 weeks to live. Her sweet little spirit is still fighting until her mission here is complete. Aden and Tiffany were in the same kindergarten class at Shelley Elementary School in American Fork. We've since moved from Shelley Elementary but we are still touched every day by Tiffany and her family and their amazing strength. They are amazing people!
